After Your Ceremony
In closing the ceremony I ask your guests to congratulate you and show their appreciation in sharing your special day with lots of happy claps and cheering!
You are then presented with an embossed be-ribboned Presentation Folder containing a keepsake copy of your ceremony printed on specialty paper, together with a Ceremonial Certificate, recording your full names, place of marriage, signed by yourselves, your two witnesses and myself. This ceremonial certificate however will not meet the requirements of Qld Transport, the Passport Office, or financial institutions so you will need to apply to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages for a legal Marriage Certificate.
During the week following your ceremony I will send the Notice of Intended Marriage form and the Commonwealth Certificate of Marriage to the registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Brisbane. This is subsequently forwarded to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
As part of my service I will also forward the Queensland Marriage Certificate application with the aforementioned documents which dispenses with your requirement to provide proof of identity etc when you lodge the application yourselves. However, the application cost is yours; a standard certified copy costs $37 and a pictorial commemorative package (there are 4 to choose from and includes a certified copy) is $50. I include the Marriage Certificate application in the resource pack you receive when your booking is confirmed.
I also send you a Feedback Form to complete, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope. This way I ensure that my service always remains at a high standard and continues to meet the needs of my clients.
